How to Share Your NDE
|
|
With the World

Andy
Warhol once said that someday everyone will be famous for 15
minutes. While I believe that the life review experienced in
NDEs allows everyone that 15 minutes of fame, with today's modern
technological advances such as the internet, cable television,
cellular phones, hand-held video cameras, and desk-top publishing,
I believe that Warhol's famous idea is technically feasible
now. And if you have something that you really want to tell
the world about, it is getting easier and easier to do just
that with every passing day. And because it is not unusual for
a person while having a near-death experience to be told "from
on high" that they must share their experience with the world,
with today's technology available, the way has been paved and
there is no excuse not to do so. However, I will qualify that
statement by saying that to do so, you must do some research
to find out how to do it. Fortunately, I have already done all
the research and am going provide in this document the information
necessary for anyone to share their NDE with the entire world
-- and with little or no money. This will be an ongoing project
for me; but for now, I will limit it to describing (1) how to
create a website to share your NDE on, (2) how to publish a
book about your NDE and sell it on your website, (3) how to
transform your NDE book into an ebook and sell it on your website,
(4) how to create a newsletter to promote your NDE, website,
book and ebook, (5) how to get your NDE testimony, your website,
and your book noticed by the mass media, and finally (6)
How to earn a living on the internet and maybe even quit your
job. Basically, I am going to share my secrets with the whole
world. And I am going to try to make it as simple as possible
for everyone to share their experience with the entire world.
Greed is
good?
Many
people have the misconception that spirituality and capitalism
do not mix and are mutually exclusive. I will address this fallacy
here very briefly and write an entire article on this important
subject later. The concept that God rewards people, both financially
and spirituality, who work hard and perform good works for the
benefit of society, not with the motive of gaining worldly riches,
but rather with the motive to serve God by serving society,
has played a critical role in human and civilization evolution.
In fact, according to sociologists, this "work ethic" can be
traced to the teachings of Jesus and is responsible for bringing
about the Reformation in Europe and the rise of modern capitalism.
This concept of "God helping those who help themselves" does
not mean that "greed is good" as some critics claim; it means
"greed" for serving others is good. It rejects the false notion
that "money is the root of all evil" and it upholds the true
teachings of Jesus which is "the LOVE of money is the root of
all evil." So those who claim that spiritual people must deny
the world and society and live as a monk are probably not following
the teachings of Jesus. It means we can't earn our way to heaven
because of our good works. It means our good works merely
indicate that heaven is already within us. So while it
is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than
a rich man to enter heaven through good works; it is his good
works that demonstrates that the rich man has heaven within.
As so many near-death experiences demonstrate, it is our
motives for performing good works that matters. Performing
good works based on selfish motives cannot earn heaven. Performing
good works based on service to others and God is the way to
heaven and worldly riches. This is the fundamental principle
behind the Protestant work ethic which according to the great
sociologist Max Weber was responsible from bringing Europe out
of the Dark Ages and bring on the Industrial Revolution.

Free
websites are available to have all over the internet.
You don't even need to know the technical knowledge
it takes to build a website. Many free internet website
providers make it very easy for people to create their
own web pages right online using their easy-to-use programs.
A. Learn about
the internet and websites
| |
1.
Online tutorials: |
| |
|
| |
3.
Tutorials on software: |
| |
|
| |
4.
My personal recommendation: |
| |
| |
a.
You don't need to be a physicist to
turn on a light switch. And you don't
need to be a computer scientist to utilize
the internet effectively. But if you
are new to the internet, I recommend
focusing mainly on learning about how
to use various search engines to find
more than just web pages, but to search
for such things as PDF files, audio
files, video files, archives, databases,
people, and the "invisible
web." You do not need to learn HTML
or any computer programming language
to create your own website. There is
excellent software that is easy to use
and makes it easy to create websites
without having to learn all the technical
details. Remember the physicist and
the light switch.
|
|
B. Get an internet
provider for a website
| |
1.
Choose your type of website (personal or commercial): |
| |
| |
|
a. Personal website: |
These types of websites are
generally not used to sell products
from and usually do not have
internet business capabilities.
|
|
Advantages:
|
They are free and you can use
the internet provider's easy-to-use
website to create your web pages
online. You don't need fancy
software or a degree in computer
science.
|
|
Disadvantages:
|
Free internet website providers
put annoying ads on your web
pages. To get rid of these forced
ads, you have to upgrade to
a fee-based website account.
However, because websites are
very inexpensive these days,
you will find that it is worth
it. Also, free websites generally
have no advanced website capabilities
that you might need later to
run a business on your website.
Free website often have size
and traffic limitations.
|
|
b. Commercial website: |
If you want to sell products
from your website, you will
need a commercial website.
|
|
Advantages:
|
Some commercial websites are
free. Most are inexpensive.
They also come with lots of
advanced business "goodies"
to sell products on. |
|
Disadvantages:
|
Most are not free. |
|
|
| |
2.
Here are some good resources to help you choose
an internet provider (ISP) |
| |
|
| |
3.
My personal recommendation: |
| |
| |
a.
Ask your dial-up or high-speed internet
provider if they offer free web space
for a website. Odds are they do. Otherwise,
for free websites I recommend
Bravenet. The website goodies they
provide are many and easy to use. I
have a
free guestbook and
free chat room with Bravenet on
my website. Along with a free website,
you can also get a free weblog (journal),
a free newsletter (mailing list), a
free bulletin board (message forum),
and many things. Their
webmaster resources are second to
none. Another excellent free internet
provider is
Yahoo Geocities. My
NDE newsletter is a free service
from Yahoo Geocities. The
NDE Email Discussion Group (mailing
list) which I promote on my home page
is a free service from Yahoo Geocities
as well. For commercial websites, I
recommend
Earthlink which hosts this website.
They have outstanding customer service
and outstanding business capabilities
and tools. I have been a satisfied customer
for almost 10 years now. Also, you can
get
your own blog for free with Blogger.com.

|
| |
4.
Get a personalized domain address (URL) for
your website |
| |
| |
a.
Why have a website address (URL) such
as http://members.your-hosting-provider.com/section3/~username/area9120/
when you can have a domain website
address with a URL that looks like this
http://www.joeblow.com?
Getting a personalized domain address
can be free or inexpensive. Here are
some links to help you get one.
|
|
| |
| |
|
| |
b.
If you don't want to pay for a domain
address, there is still hope. You can
get a free URL redirection service which
will give you a semi-personalized "dummy"
address (such as
http://joeblow.has.it) to use so
that when people click on it, it will
direct people to your website and you
don't have to use your real website
address. Here is some information about
getting a free URL redirection service.
|
| |
|
|
| |
5.
My personal recommendation |
| |
| |
a.
Having a personal domain address (such
as http://www.near-death.com)
has many advantages. Perhaps the biggest
advantage is that internet search engines
favor them and will rank them higher.
For example, whenever someone uses a
search engine such as
Google to find something, most people
only look at the first 10 websites listed
on the first page of your search results.
So if your website is about tomatoes,
for example, you want your website to
be in the top 10 results whenever someone
searches the internet for tomatoes.
If your website is listed by search
engine results as number 3590 for example,
you might as well forget anyone finding
your website through search engines.
Websites with long website addresses
(usually the free websites) used to
be ignored by the search engines for
ranking. The reason is because free
websites are often abandoned by the
owners and/or have lots of broken links.
The advantage of getting a high ranking
by search engines is priceless.
And without a good ranking with the
search engines, it makes it very very
hard for people to find your website.
Having your own domain address is more
than worth every cent.

|
C. Create your
website

| |
1.
Design your website: |
| |
|
| |
2.
Create your website: |
| |
|
| |
3.
My personal recommendation: |
| |
| |
a.
I use and recommend
Microsoft Frontpage 2003 for creating
web pages. If you know how to use Microsoft
Word or any other advanced word processing
program, then you already know how to
do most of the functions of creating
web pages with Frontpage. And although
you don't need to know HTML, it helps.
For very large websites such as mine,
using Frontpage is a must. Free website
editors are available on the internet
as well. But Frontpage is easy to use
and there are several excellent
online Frontpage tutorials. The
other two leading website editors are
Dreamweaver and
Adobe GoLive. These three website
editors are relatively expensive, but
they are so easy to use and so powerful
that purchasing one of them is well
worth it. It is practically impossible
to manage a large website without one
of them.
Free website editors are also available.
Visit
About's website for free website
editors and tutorials. Nowadays, you
don't even need an editor - just use
free pre-build web page templates.
Also, check out the
video tutorials about web design
available.

| |
|
| |
2.
Get web promotion resources: |
| |
|
| |
3.
Promote your website: |
| |
|

4.
My personal recommendation: |
| |
| |
a.
There are thousands of search engines
on the internet but there are only four
search engines that you need to be concerned
about. Only these three search engines
are important to register your website
with. They are
Google,
Yahoo,
Lycos,
Alta Vista, and
AOL Search. You can register with
these engines yourself for free.
Don't fall for
the scam of having to pay a lot of money
for someone to do it for you.
You can do it yourself for free at these
sites:
Google,
Yahoo,
Lycos,
Alta Vista, and
AOL Search. For more information
on these search engines and how to optimize
your website to get a higher ranking
on these search engines, visit
Bruce Clay's website on
Google,
Yahoo,
Lycos,
Alta Vista, and
AOL Search.
