"By joining a particular free charity website you can shop
online at over 500 participating stores and they will direct
a portion of your purchase dollars (up to 27%) to IANDS
as a contribution! Fund-raising for near-death research
has never been easier! Even if you'd rather not fund-raise
for near-death research, you're going to want to read the
information on this web page just to learn how to fund-raise
for any favorite cause of yours!" |

Notes
from the webmaster |
|
|
|
| Kevin Williams writes:
On supporting near-death research |
|
|
The big publishing companies can't
make enough money from NDE books anymore. This is
why NDE books are hard to get published these days
through the big publishers. Unless you're a
Stephen King or an Anne Rice, you might as well
forget getting published through the big publishers.
This situation contributes to current NDE books on
the market going out-of-print and this is what
horrifies me. It means less incentive for NDE
research because of the lack of financial support.
And I have come to realize that I am part of the
problem by providing excerpts of NDE books and
possibly creating the impression that you don't
need to buy the book and therefore support NDE research. But
there is hope! I have a plan for this website to
promote NDE research on a greater scale. |

NDEs and Universal Salvation |
|
|
Ken R. Vincent, the author of "Visions of God from the
Near-Death Experience" explores the NDE in the context
of the theology of Christian Universalism and shows how
universal salvation is the most compatible doctrine with
NDEs. Restorative Universalism is the belief of a
judgment (the life review) after death which is
followed by punishment for some but eventual universal salvation for all and is
based upon two predominant teachings of Jesus in the
gospels. |

Juliet Nightingale's NDE |
|
|
Read
about Juliet's NDE
which she had while in a coma from a battle with cancer. Her
NDE had a profound and lasting effect on her life but,
initially, she rarely spoke about it because of being
judged and misunderstood when she did. But thanks
to her joining the International Association for Near-Death
Studies (IANDS) - the organization of NDE
research and support - she's been able to share her
experiences firsthand and generate great interest and
deepening awareness of the profundity of the near-death
and similar experiences in recent years. Today, she
chairs the membership committee on the IANDS Board
of Directors and facilitates the Friends of IANDS
(FOI) in Maine. |

Duane Beitmen's NDE |
|
|
"I was one with a creation of my own making that I
was now living and walking in. I went down this pebbled
road and stopped to examine a pebble. Even the
small pebble was more beautiful than anything I had
ever seen. It was like it emitted Glory and Love." |
|
|
|
 |
Peristero's NDE |
|
|
"What is truly staggering is that I saw it from the
spirit's point-of-view (be it death or Hades) and
through all the darkness I saw as Hades, my body,
the only source of brilliant light, illuminating the
whole place, while the core of this celestial, pure
light was my heart." |
|
|
|
 |
Agape070703's NDE |
|
|
"I found myself drawn to this overbearing bright light.
The moment I was in it I fell to my face and began to
cry. On my knees I could reason in my mind that I
was surrounded by an entity that was so powerful
and so unconditionally loving that I could not stand up
in its presence because at the same time I was feeling
burdened with guilt because of my life and all the sin
that was in it." |
|
|
|
 |
Michelle Richardson's NDE |
|
|
"Anyway, the "void" I was taken to was grayish and foggy,
almost cave-like. There was a being somewhere to the side
or in back of me that I could not see that informed me
that I needed to undergo "purification". |
|
|
|
 |
Ken Merriman's NDE |
|
|
"I was just within moments of realizing that I wasn't on
Earth when the feelings of joy, happiness, love, glee,
everything that is tied to all that's good rushed over me
and I can absolutely say I have never felt this way before.
It was truly an amazing experience. If everyone in the world
could feel the way I did at that moment, wars would be
a thing of the past. The Earth would unite." |

My
research conclusions concerning one of the
most interesting aspects of NDEs. Many
experiencers discover themselves outside
of their body and observe events going on
around their lifeless physical body or
even around locations at great distances
