VENICE, CA --
(Vision Quest) |
|
VisionQuest
Video has recently released 2 outstanding
NDE documentaries on a single DVD. "The
Near-Death Experience: Into The Light"
and "Through The Tunnel & Beyond" is
now available on Amazon. In the first
documentary, Dr. Bruce Greyson features the
testimony of six people who experienced a
NDE. In the second documentary, Dr. Raymond
Moody teaches the technique for visionary
encounters (ADCs) with deceased loved ones.
This is a superb documentary shot around the
world at sacred sights, among them Epyhyra,
Greece where Homer described as the Oracle
of the Dead. People share in intimate detail
what they have experienced in death. After
studying the rituals performed there and
throughout the ages, Moody replicated the
conditions in his own studio.

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN -- (Soul Travel Magazine) |

After
nearly eight years of promises, the Central
Intelligence Agency has at long last
released the bulk of the so-called "Star
Gate Archive" to the general public. At
89,901 pages, making up some 11,985
documents, the Archive is a monumental
record of the US government's foray into
remote viewing under code-names such as
Grill Flame, Center Lane, Sun Streak, and
others, with the most widely known being
STAR GATE. Also included are the
never-before disclosed reports of the
scientific research conducted by scientists
such as Harold Puthoff, Russell Targ, Edwin
May, and others at Stanford Research
Institute and at Science Applications
International Corporation. It includes
actual operational remote viewing reports
containing remote-viewing-derived
information by such legendary remote viewers

The
88-page report also reviews a range of
teleportation concepts and experiments:
Quantum teleportation, a technique
demonstrated in the last decade that shifts
the characteristics, but not the location,
of sub-atomic particles at great distances.
 Wormholes, a highly theoretical
possibility whereby the intense
gravitational field near black holes could
rip open entrances to distant locales.
Psychokinesis, or psychic teleportation. In
support of the idea, the report cites UFO
reports, Soviet and Chinese studies of
psychics and U.S. military studies of
spoon-bending phenomena. [Read

Today,
our secular society doesn't accommodate
those who genuinely investigate life after
death. But Emma Heathcote-James' new book,
"They Walk Among Us" (Metro Books), argues
that modern technology can now verify
another dimension exists. "We now have the
capacity to understand there is a world
beyond, and everything paranormal is in fact
a natural occurrence," the British author
says. [Read

The legendary
particle that physicists thought explained
the basic question of why matter has mass,
often called the God particle, probably
does not exist, and now a few scientists are
beginning to consider the idea that what
might be there is not a particle at all, but
some sort of consciousness or intelligence,
that would mean that the universe does
indeed have a God. [Read

Kelly Brook's
new boyfriend Billy Zane boasts that he's
able to make contact with people on the
other side of the world during out-of-body
experiences. Kylie Minogue claims that she
is often visited by the spirit of her dead
ex-lover Michael Hutchence. And actress
Sharon Stone started dating film producer
Bill McDonald after a psychic told her they
had been together in a previous life. But
you don't have to be a celebrity
to believe in the paranormal. A recent MORI
poll showed that an astonishing seven out of
10 of us are convinced that psychic powers,
telepathy and communicating with the dead
are all possible. And three out of 10 of us
think that near-death experiences prove
there really is an afterlife. [Read

DENVER, CO --

As Rempfer
prepared to die, she worried about what
would happen to her soul in the moments
immediately after her death. Rempfer
believed in an afterlife, but worried about
"getting to the other side," Underwood says.
Rempfer knew about the "white light"
described by people who have had near-death
experiences. Yet she was scared about how
she would react when she saw it. She feared
taking a wrong turn and getting lost in the
ether of some imagined purgatory. "She
believed her time on Earth was complete. She
didn't want to have to come back and do it
all over again," Underwood says. [Read

A team of
physicists at the Georgia Institute of
Technology has taken a significant step
toward the development of quantum
communications systems by successfully
transferring quantum information from two
different groups of atoms onto a single
photon. The work, published in the October
22 issue of the journal Science, represents
a "building block" that could lead to
development of large-scale quantum networks.

MANILA, PHILLIPINES --

Crossing the
fragile line between life and death is an
irreversible process. It is a point of no
return and a journey towards an entirely new
experience. But we are comforted by the
thought that life beyond is so much better
and is in fact a perfect world, where there
is neither pain nor hunger. The testimonies
of those who have had near-death experiences
validated this belief. They picture life
beyond as heavenly, bright, calm and
peaceful. Perhaps, this is one big
consolation for us who mourn the death of
our loved ones and a bigger inspiration for
us to live our lives well, considering that
there is an "other side" to the heavenly
experience. [Read

NEW YORK, NY --

A handful of
colleagues have paved the way for this type
of investigation. In the mid-1960s,
psychologist
Charles Tart, Ph.D., of the University
of California at Davis, measured skin
conductance, blood volume, heart rate, and
verbal reports between two people; called a
sender-receiver pair. He, as the sender,
received random electrical shocks to see if
remote receivers could detect those events.
Tart found that while they weren't
consciously aware of anything out of the
ordinary, the distant receivers' physiology
registered significant reactions to the
shocks he experienced. [Read

UNION CITY, CA --

It is important
for those stuck on an unpleasant image of
their loved one at or near death to replace
it with images from happier times showing
the valuable qualities and resourcefulness
of this person. Some people do this
automatically, but others have a hard time
getting away from macabre images of the end.
Steve Andreas has described on his website
www.steveandreas.com/grief02.html a
pattern that enables one to have these
happier images of the loved one as though
they were still around. There are many Web
sites that have accounts of near-death
experiences that can bring a new light to
those whose beliefs are very materialistic
or down to Earth. One is:

About four years ago, Mossey's son Robert

The decision to
talk to a sick child about death is never
easy. Many parents struggle to do what's
right, but often wonder if they've made the
best choice. Though a Swedish study released
in September found parents who choose to
talk to their children have no regrets, it
also raises another, more basic question
that all families of children with cancer
face: How will our family handle our child's
cancer diagnosis? "Nessa and I would talk
about death and she would ask me things
like, `What's heaven like?' or `Can I fly up
there?'" Jensema said. "I was very careful
telling her no one knew for sure what heaven
was like - again the honesty issue - but I
told her I often pictured it as the Garden
of Eden - beautiful flowers, a river
flowing, sunshine always." [Read

An array of rat
brain cells has successfully flown a virtual
F-22 fighter jet. The cells could one day
become a more sophisticated replacement for
the computers that control uncrewed aerial
vehicles or, in the nearer future, form a
test-bed for drugs against brain diseases
such as epilepsy. Enzymes were used to
extract neurons from the motor cortex of
mature rat embryos and cells were then
seeded onto a grid of gold electrodes
patterned on a glass Petri dish. The cells
grew microscopic interconnections, turning
them into a live computation device,
explains Thomas DeMarse, a biomedical
engineer at the University of Florida in
Gainesville, US, who carried out the
research. [Read

"Scientific Proof
of the Existence of God: An Interview with Amit
Goswami" by Craig Hamilton |
|
|
Dr. Goswami is a
professor of physics at the University of
Oregon and a member of its Institute of
Theoretical Science. Dr. Goswami is part of
a growing body of renegade scientists who in
recent years have ventured into the domain
of the spiritual in an attempt both to
interpret the seemingly inexplicable
findings of their experiments and to
validate their intuitions about the
existence of a spiritual dimension of life.
The culmination of Goswami's own work is his
book: "The

"SynchroFile:
Amazing Personal Encounters With Synchronicity And
Other Strange Phenomena" by Raymond E. Fowler |
|
|
Dr. Kenneth Ring
wrote that Fowler's researched book on the
NDE and UFO experiences "may well have
deciphered the ultimate nature and meaning"
of these baffling phenomena. In his book "SynchroFile,"
Fowler applies the same kind of meticulous
research into synchronistic experiences that
permeate his life. This material is the
result of his research into Jungian
psychology, the New Physics and his study of
a ten-year diary of personal and family
experiences of amazing coincidences and
paranormal experiences. His research lead to
the incredulous conclusion that time is an
illusion and that reports of synchronicity,
ghosts, out-of-body and near-death
experiences, UFOs, precognition, telepathy,
and other extrasensory experiences are all
individual expressions of one
intelligent-like meta-phenomenon. An excerpt
is coming soon.

"The Significance
of the Near-Death Experience in Western Cultural
Traditions" by Alan Pew |
|
|
Alan's thesis
shows the significance by identifying and
analyzing works in the fields of Western
fictional literature, art, film and religion
which contain the NDE as the central theme.
This them has been a part of the literary,
artistic and religious foundations of
Western cultural traditions since early
antiquity. The significant and wide-ranging
influence of the NDE on these traditions is
evidenced by the presence of the motif
throughout the various genres within each.
Examples include some of the most revered
classics of Western civilization. At least
one researcher has suggested that the root
of some of these great works may be the
result of NDE-type insights experienced by
recognized creative geniuses like Dickens,
Wilder and Dante. |
