NDE Participants Sought For Research on the
Effects of NDEs on Marriage |
|
DENTON, UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS |
|
A researcher
named Rozan Christian is exploring the
effects of a potentially life-changing event
on marriage, including a NDE, on one of the
martial partners. If you are married or
divorced, and during that marriage you or
your spouse experienced a potentially
life-changing event, your participation in
this study is welcomed. Your involvement
would require less than one hour in the
comfort of your own home or other location
of your choosing to complete several brief
questionnaires regarding your experience and
marriage. Your participation would remain
confidential. The types of life-changing
events of interest to the study include the
following: a NDE, the birth of a child, a
move to a new home, a career change, a
significant change in financial status, or
the death of a loved one. If any of these
apply to you and your spouse, your
participation in this study is welcomed. If
you are interested in participating, please

Hit Maker of the 1950s Sees Her Star Shine
Once Again |
|
HAVERHILL, NEW HAMPSHIRE |

I had a
near-death experience after my children were
in college. (I had) a malignant growth on my
parathyroid gland - which is right next to
the vocal chords. (I was unconscious, and)
there was a meadow, and a maypole surrounded
by girls dancing, in long, white dresses.
They stopped dancing, and one of them turned
around to face me. It was my mother, and she
was waving at me. It was glorious, and it
was beautiful, and then I heard one of the
doctors say, "She's comatose," and I came

Visions of Mum While Under 13-Tonne Bus |
|
QUEENSLAND, AUSTRAILIA |

After the
13-tonne bus he was working on fell on top
of him, Mr. Culvert clinically died four
times. Yesterday the 54-year-old wept as he
remembered seeing a vision of his recently
dead mother after the bus fell on him. "I
saw my mum while I was under the bus," Mr.
Calvert said. "I really knew something was
wrong then. "She was standing there looking
20 years younger, wearing a floral dress,
but the funny thing was she didn't have any
legs and she was shaking her finger at me
saying, "Not yet, not yet.".... [Read

Doctor Explores Belief of Rebirth in Judaism
(May have to register) |
|
MIAMI, FLORIDA |
|
How does a
Yale-educated doctor trained in forensic
psychiatry become convinced he was a
Babylonian priest in a former life? By
conducting research, evaluating data and
approaching results with an open mind, says
Dr. Brian Weiss, a Miami-based psychiatrist
and the nation's foremost practitioner of
past-life regression therapy ... Among
Orthodox Jews, particularly the
ultra-Orthodox Hasidic Jews who kept much of
the mystical tradition alive while other
sects modernized, belief in reincarnation
has persisted, said Rabbi Yonassan Gershom,
author of Jewish Tales of Reincarnation.
''The majority of Reform Jews are completely
unaware that Judaism has teachings about
reincarnation,'' he said. ``From the Hasidic
standpoint, if you're back here on earth
it's because you didn't do it right the
first time.'' .... [Read

“Technically I
was gone, but then I got sent back,” he
said. “My cardiologist calls me Elder
Lazarus. To this day etched indelibly in my
soul are the words: ‘Your work is not yet
finished.'” He went on to say that it was
both a challenge and a blessing of not
knowing why he was sent back as well as how
much time he had left. It had given him a
heightened awareness to everything in life.
“You may be asking, ‘What does this have to

A Talk With "Hello From Heaven!" Author |
|
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA |
|
One testimonial
in "Hello
From Heaven!" tells of a woman who
was sexually abused as a child by her
alcoholic uncle. She, too, became addicted
to alcohol and drugs and realized that to
heal herself, she needed to make peace with
her uncle, so she wrote him a letter telling
him she forgave him. She heard nothing for
years, then one night she awoke and saw her
uncle and Jesus next to her bed. "Do you
hold anything against this man," Jesus
asked. She told him no. Then, she reported,
Jesus turned to her uncle and said. "Neither
do I hold anything against him." A couple of
days later, she received a letter from her
mother that her uncle had died..... [Read

Life After Death |
|
BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND |
|
Sitting alone
with the body of her mother who had just
died, Olivia Newton-John felt "an incredible
presence" in the room. "It was an energy I'd
never felt before," the singer says. Then,
recalling a conversation the pair had some
time earlier, she asked her mum to send a
signal that she was OK wherever she now was.
"Make the candles move, or flicker, or
something," Newton-John urged. Some small
candles in the room moved a little, enough
to reassure her. But then she was called to
the living room where family and friends
were gathered. "You'll never believe what
happened," they said. A candle in that room
had just exploded with a fizzing sound right
under the picture of Newton-John's mother .... [Read

Scientist Claims That Brains Constructed Out
of Tinkertoys Could Be Conscious |
|
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK |
|
If we believe
that consciousness is the result of patterns
of neurons in the brain, our thoughts,
emotions, and memories could be replicated
in moving assemblies of Tinkertoys ... If
our thoughts and consciousness do not depend
on the actual substances in our brains but
rather on the structures, patterns, and
relationships between parts, then Tinkertoy
minds could think. If you could make a copy
of your brain with the same structure but
using different materials, the copy would
think it was you. This seemingly
materialistic approach to mind does not
diminish the hope of an afterlife, of
transcendence, of communion with entities
from parallel universes, or even of God.
Even Tinkertoy minds can dream, seek
salvation and bliss—and pray..... [Read

Humans Are Mere Simulations Actually Living
in a Computerized Version of the World |
|
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM |
|
All life on
Earth is nothing more than an elaborate
facade created by super-intelligent beings.
Humans now exist in a computerized version
of the world – a simulation that keeps us
happy, while our powers are drained by our
creators for use as fuel in their campaign
for dominance in the "real" world. This is
the premise of the cult sci-fi thriller "The
Matrix." "The simulation hypothesis, that we
are currently living in a computer
simulation, should be understood literally,
it's not just in a metaphorical sense
whereby one could view the universe as a
simulation, but literally we would be living
in a simulation created by some advanced
civilization in a computer they built in
their universe. And everything we see and
our brains themselves would just be parts of
this simulation." Oxford University
philosopher Dr Nick Bostrom echoes the
thoughts of sci-fi writers and scientists
alike. The simulation hypothesis is not
sci-fi, it's serious academic thought ... [Read

Meditation Gives Brain a Charge, Study Finds |
|
MADISON, WISCONSIN |
|
Brain research
is beginning to produce concrete evidence
for something that Buddhist practitioners of
meditation have maintained for centuries:
Mental discipline and meditative practice
can change the workings of the brain and
allow people to achieve different levels of
awareness. Those transformed states have
traditionally been understood in
transcendent terms, as something outside the
world of physical measurement and objective
evaluation. But over the past few years,
researchers at the University of Wisconsin
working with Tibetan monks have been able to
translate those mental experiences into the
scientific language of high-frequency gamma
waves and brain synchrony, or coordination.... [Read

Our Sixth Sense |
|
ASPEN, COLORADO |
|
Anthropologists
believe that ancient knowledge of the
movement of wind, sea and birds may have
saved the five indigenous tribes on the
Indian archipelago from the tsunami that hit
the Asian coastline Dec. 26. A local
environmentalist familiar with these
reticent people was quoted as saying, "They
can smell the wind. They gauge the depth of
the sea with the sound of their oars. They
have a sixth sense which we don't possess."
It is the same sense that wild animals
possess, the same sense that accounted for
the survival of elephants, tigers, reptiles,
sea birds and other creatures that found
their way inland before the tsunami struck.
John Muir spoke of a sixth sense, an
intuitive understanding that alerted him to
events affecting people close to him. Muir,
a devout man of nature, had premonitions
when each of his parents was close to death,
and he was right both times. A thousand
miles from home, he once had a sense that
his daughter was deathly ill, and he was
right again ... [Read

Near-Death Experiencer Foresaw Cataclysmic
Disaster in Asia |
|
(Jan. 15, 2005) |
|
On April 16,
2002, Kevin Williams published on his
website the near-death testimony of Alan
McDougall which contained the following
vision of the future: |
| |
|
"While
this omnipotent being was
speaking, I could see a
panoramic view of planet earth,
as if I was a space man
observing the earth, all the
time, from the window of a space
vehicle. The voice that I took
as God, was not pleased with
what was happening on our
planet, and kept referring to
humanity in the terms of "mere
mortal man, I am displeased with
you" (I cannot remember why he
was displeased). While this
unseen being "God" was speaking,
the earth was revolving and
stopping at intervals over each
continent, in turn, where a
warning message was given to
each continent. What I can
remember was that he was saying
to humanity that he was
displeased with their evil
actions in some way. The
frustrating part is that I could
not retain all that was said to
mere mortal man, by this being,
while I was with him viewing the
earth. I do, however, clearly,
remember two warnings. One
that a cataclysmic event would
start from the Indian
subcontinent. The other that
the Middle East crises would not
be solved by the peacekeeping
efforts of man and that divine
direct intervention would
eventually come to the earth,
sometime in the future, because
of the unbelievable evil that
some mere men were perpetuating
and directly responsible for on
earth (rape of the planet)."... [Read

Notes from the Webmaster |
|
|
|
|
|
Someone
recently emailed to me the following question:
"Often times I wonder what am I
supposed to do with my life. I'm talented, make good money
but am very dissatisfied with my current results. How do we
know what the "Being of Light" wants us to do? Can anyone
help me? I'm not some crazy person, just a desperate man
looking for meaning in my life."
My answer to this question is the
following: Although we
are all on a mission from God, we generally are not supposed
to know what it is. There are many reasons for this but I
suppose the main reason is that if we knew what our missions
in life were, it would somehow not be as satisfying. It
would be like receiving the answer to a test before you take
it. For those people who have a near-death experience and
are told they must return to life, it can be a miserable
experience. After seeing the glory of heaven and the very
throne of God, they are told to go back. They have to go
back to scrubbing their toilets, taking out the trash, going
to work, changing the diapers, etc.. It can be very
devastating. About 4% of experiencers commit suicide because
they can't take the apparent insignificance of physical
existence. It is not uncommon for experiencers to become
severely depressed. One man, in particular, discovered after
his near-death experience that he couldn't watch TV anymore.
He said that watching soap commercials especially irritated
him because of how insignificant they were was. He also couldn't
watch his boxing anymore because of the violence. Another
example is a minister named Ken Martin who learned after his
near-death experience that everything in life was
insignificant. In his testimony, he said that even his
family, his ministry, his church, his calling, was
"insignificant" compared to what he experienced on the Other
Side.
But there is also a "flip-side" to this.
Kimberly Clark Sharp once
shared an interesting near-death testimony of a woman who
saw herself as a child during her life review. The major
lesson she learned from her life review was that even the
seemingly insignificant things we do in life can be far more
important than we can possibly imagine on the Other Side.
During her life review, she saw an incident from her
childhood when she saw a tiny flower growing almost
impossibly out of a crack in the sidewalk. She bent down and
cupped the flower and gave it her full unconditional love
and undivided attention. During her life review, she
discovered that it was this incident with the flower, which
she had long ago forgotten about, was the most important
event of her entire life. The reason was because it was the
moment in her life where she expressed unconditional love in
the greatest manner.
So the big lesson that people receive during their
near-death experience is the supremacy of expressing
unconditional love. Even the apparent insignificant acts of
love which we perform has the power to alter the entire
course of history and change the world for the good.
Unconditional acts of love are the greatest things we can do
in life - even if it is directed at a tiny flower.
So
love is the answer to the question, "What is the meaning of
life?" Any other answer pals in comparison to the supremacy
of love. When we have our life review after death, it will
be our acts of unconditional love which will considered the
greatest. It is how we are measured on the Other Side
because love is the Almighty Universal Power connecting us
all. Near-death experiences reveal that there is no other
God but this love that is unconditional and pure. It is as
simple and as profound as that.
While we must go about our daily routine -- clipping our toe
nails and scrubbing our toilets -- it is how much we love
others that matters. Everyone's mission has to do with love.
We are all here to experience and learn the many aspects of
love in a world where there is very little of it compared to
the Other Side. I suppose that even the absence of love
makes the heart grow fonder and gives us an education about
love that we cannot learn anywhere else. One thing is clear
to me: Love is too immense and profound to be fully
understood in this world. But John Lennon was correct all
along.
All we need is love.
Peace and
Light,
Kevin

In 1968, Russell
had a NDE which changed his life. His life's
purpose and potential were explained to him
and he was told he would soon meet the woman
who was to be his wife. Two weeks later he
met Jane, his wife to be, and one month
later, they were married. Over three decades
later, they remain happily married. Since
his NDE, Russell has researched the farther
reaches of human potential and documented
the truths he has discovered in his
exploration of other realms. Russell has
been told that now is the time to begin
releasing what he learned. The Key to
Self-Discovery, the first book in a series,
presents a system of self-discovery and
self-development created by Russell called
"The Holistic Way." This book and system is
the first realization of his research and

This book is the
fruit of a lifetime of thought attempting to
synthesize material from a number of diverse
domains, including cosmology, theoretical
biology, quantum physics, developmental
psychoanalysis, attachment theory,
anthropology, history, mysticism and
theology, into a coherent, self-consistent,
non-reductionistic whole. It takes the
reader on an intellectual and spiritual
journey through the whole of creation and
dares to venture where language cannot go,
into the "mind of God" prior to the
creation, through to the "mind of the saint"
who transcends the culturally conditioned
ego, escapes history, and merges with the
divine mind. |
